Drugs, Cash and Firearms Seized in Clay County, Kentucky

MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriffs Office is reporting that: On June 25, 2021 at approximately 11:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson along with Chief Deputy Clifton Jones, Deputy Dewey Grubb, Deputy Darrell Goins and Deputy Derrick Carr arrested John Holland, 38 of Saplin Fork, Robert Abner, 34 of Morgan Branch and Brian Hubbard, 28 of Highway 638.

The arrests occurred when Sheriff Robinson conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle off of Add Hollow Road. Upon initial contact Sheriff Robinson noticed an AR-15 next to the driver of the vehicle along with narcotics in plain view.

Through further investigation it was determined that the subject was operating on a suspended license.

During the search of the vehicle approximately 1 pound of believed to be Methamphetamine, pills, Marijuana was located along with several firearms and approximately $10,000 in US Currency.

John Holland was charged with:

• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree
• Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon
• Possession of a handgun by a Convicted Felon
• Operating on Suspended Operators License
• Failure to Register/Transfer Motor Vehicle
• Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance
• Expired Registration Plates
• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Indictment Warrant)
• Drug Paraphernalia (Indictment Warrant)

Brian Hubbard was charged with:

• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree

Robert Abner was charged with:

• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree

These individuals were lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
