Two Individuals with Unrelated Cases in Clay and Knox County, Kentucky Arrested South of London

Helton ViresLONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler along with Deputy Travis Napier arrested two individuals on unrelated cases off Oak Ridge Church Road, approximately 10 miles South of London.

The two individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants and parole violation and are identified as the following:

Travis W. Helton age 29 of American Greeting Card Rd., Corbin charged on a  sex offender post incarceration violation warrant regarding charges of:

  • Absconding parole supervision
  • Failure to complete halfway house program
  • Violation of supplemental conditions of supervision regarding a conviction in Knox County Circuit Court

Britni A. Vires age 34 of Kay Ln., Lily charged on a Clay Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging probation violation regarding charges of:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense;
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first offense
  • Tampering with physical evidence
  • Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree

In addition, this subject was charged on a second Clay Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging:

  • Failure to sign probation order

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
