London, Kentucky Woman charged with Methamphetamine Trafficking, 3rd Offense DUI and Possession of Burglary Tools

LONDON, KY (August 5, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Hobie Daugherty arrested Tabatha Nicole Hooker age 31 of Moriah Church Rd., London early Thursday morning August 5, 2021 at approximately 2:54 AM.

The arrest occurred on Johnson Road, approximately 2 miles east of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of possible individuals trying to cut catalytic converters off vehicles in that area.

Upon arriving in the vicinity Deputy Daugherty observed a gold colored Chevrolet Cavalier having no license plate.

A traffic stop was conducted and during the stop Deputy Daugherty found the driver in possession of a large amount of:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • Suboxone
  • Prescription strength Ibuprofen
  • Clonazepam
  • A glass smoking pipe

Following the continuing investigation there, the driver was determined to be under the influence and was charged for a third offense DUI.

Deputy Daugherty also recovered a Sawzall in the backseat of the vehicle.

Tabitha Hooker was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – third offense
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance second-degree
  • Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
  • Trafficking in legend drug - first offense
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Driving on DUI suspended license – first offense
  • Failure to surrender revoked operator's license
  • Possession of burglary tools
  • No registration plates

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
