LONDON, KY (September 21, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Etherton along with Deputy Brent France arrested Christopher Alan Smith age 45 of Livingston, KY on Monday afternoon September 20, 2021 at approximately 1:35 PM.
The arrest occurred off Fariston Road, approximately 5 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a male subject attempting to enter residences along the roadway there.
Deputies were further advised that no one knew the individual.
Upon arrival in the area of the complaint deputies contacted a homeowner there and learned that allegedly he had found the suspect standing in his living room uninvited and unknown to them.
When the homeowner told the suspect law enforcement had been called, the suspect left the scene and was located by deputies along the roadway in the vicinity.
Deputies located the suspect along the roadway and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence.
Christopher Alan Smith was charged with:
- Burglary – second-degree
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
Upon arrival at the detention facility deputies were advised that this subject had been lodged in the facility there on September 19 on an FTA warrant.
