London, Kentucky Man arrested off South Highway 421 in Clay County facing Multiple Charges including Menacing

MANCHESTER, KY (October 7, 2021) - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at approximately 6:00 A.M. Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones arrested Timothy Smith, 37 of London.

The arrest occurred off of South Highway 421 when Chief Deputy Jones was dispatched to a complaint that the above mentioned subject was inside a residence and was refusing to leave.

Upon arrival, Chief Deputy Jones noted that the subject became aggressive and attempted to flee on foot.

Once Chief Deputy Jones made contact with the subject the subject began to actively resist arrest.

After a brief scuffle, the subject was placed under arrest without further incident.

Timothy Smith was charged with:

• Public Intoxication of a Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
• Resisting Arrest
• Menacing

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
