LONDON, KY (December 28, 2021) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Dylan Messer arrested Kiritbhai Patel age 38 of Mount Prospect, Illinois on Sunday night December 26, 2021 at approximately 10:48 PM.
The arrest occurred on Cherry Avenue approximately 10 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle traffic crash there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the suspect operating a silver Toyota Camry and noted that the vehicle was attempting to get around the tow truck in an attempt to leave the scene.
Deputies noted detecting the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the driver and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence.
Kiritbhai Lalbhai Patel was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Failure to wear seat belts
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
