LONDON, KY (January 14, 2022) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor along with Deputy Landry Collett arrested two subjects early Friday morning January 14, 2022 at approximately 1:32 AM.
The arrests occurred on I–75 in London following a traffic stop conducted on a white Saab which was weaving on the roadway.
During the traffic stop it was learned that the driver was operating on a DUI suspended license.
In addition, the driver was found in possession of a large amount of suspected Methamphetamine and a scooping spoon with residue on it.
The passenger was found in possession of a large amount of suspected Methamphetamine and sandwich bags with residue.
The two arrested individuals were identified as:
The driver – Derek Mullins age 26 of Holly Grove Road, Corbin, KY charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Driving on DUI suspended license – first offense
The passenger – Joseph Glen Isom age 19 of Roy Dugger Rd., London, KY charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
