Two East Bernstadt subjects along with a Manchester resident arrested in Laurel County, Kentucky / 2 for Meth, 1 for Meth and a Warrant & all 3 for Theft

LONDON, KY (February 24, 2022) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Taylor McDaniel along with Lieut. Chris Edwards, Detective Robert Reed, and Deputy Jamie Etherton arrested three individuals on Thursday morning February 24, 2022 at approximately 10:53 AM.

The arrests occurred at the Dollar Store located on North Laurel Road approximately 1 1/2 miles north of London after these three subjects allegedly shoplifted $39.22 worth of items.

During the investigation two female subjects involved were found in possession of:

  • Suspected Methamphetamine
  • Suboxone
  • A glass pipe
  • Needles

One of the female subjects was wanted on an arrest warrant.

The arrested individuals were identified as: Danielle Bowling age 40 of Walter Eversole Road, East Bernstadt, KY, Treva Chappell age 33 of Hensley Road, East Bernstadt, KY and Woodard Smith age 41 of Highway 687, Manchester, KY.

Danielle Bowling was charged with:

  • Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Public intoxication – controlled substances

In addition, this subject was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – third-degree – first offense on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest regarding an investigation conducted by Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor where allegedly this individual delivered 99 1/2 Xanax tablets to a location on KY 30.

Treva Chappell was charged with:

  • Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Public intoxication – controlled substances

Woodard Smith was charged with:

  • Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting

All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
