Madison County, KY - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of an injury collision Monday, February 28, 2022, around 10:04 a.m. on Hagan Mill Road in Madison County.
The initial investigation indicates William Baldwin, 33 years old of Richmond, was traveling east on Hagan Mill Road in a 1989 Buick Reatta when the vehicle left the roadway on the eastbound side. Mr. Baldwin overcorrected, crossing both lanes of Hagan Mill. The vehicle left the roadway on the westbound side before colliding with a tree and coming to rest.
William Baldwin was pronounced dead at the scene by Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison.
The collision remains under investigation by Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison County Coroner’s Office.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Madison County Fire Department, Kirksville Fire Department, and Madison County EMS.
