Two Fugitives on the run after Evading a KSP Pursuit in Madison Co. captured in Fayette County, Kentucky

RICHMOND, KY (September 9, 2022) – The Kentucky State Police is reporting that , KSP Post 7, Richmond was contacted just before 3:00 A.M. Friday morning September 9, 2022, by the Lexington Metro Police Department advising that two wanted individuals being sought by KSP had been taken into custody.

Fugitives, Benjamin C. Johnson, 28 years old of Waco and Destiny G. Burns, 20 years old of Berea were apprehended at a residence in Fayette County.

Johnson and Burns have both been lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.

Richmond, Ky. (September 8, 2022) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is asking for the public’s assistance with locating two wanted fugitives after a vehicle pursuit in Madison County Wednesday, September 7, 2022. The incident occurred just before 4:00 p.m. when a Kentucky State Police Trooper observed an individual with active warrants operating a Red Chevy Truck at the Valero Gas Station on North Keeneland Drive in Richmond.

KSP Trooper attempted to make a traffic stop on two individuals identified as Benjamin C. Johnson, 28 years old of Waco and Destiny G. Burns, 20 years old of Berea in the gas station parking lot. Mr. Johnson failed to yield at which point a pursuit was initiated. KSP Troopers followed the fleeing vehicle West on Tates Creek Road for approximately 8 miles. The pursuit then turned onto Whitlock Road for approximately 3 miles and was terminated due to roadway conditions.

KSP Troopers saturated the area for several hours but was unable to locate Johnson and Burns. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post at 859-623-2404
