HYDEN, KY - According to the Leslie County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Deputy Jeremy Vega and Office Manager Serena Asher have obtained a National Highway Safety Grant.
The grant will allow for deputies with the Leslie County Sheriff’s Office to work federal overtime.
Deputies will be enforcing moving violations including:
- DUI’s
- Speeding
- Child restraint usage
- Seatbelt usage, and many others
Traffic safety checkpoints will also be conducted at pre-approved locations.
Target areas will be those areas that have a high number of collisions and/or moving violations.
Our goal is to make all roads in Leslie County safe to travel for your families and ours.
