LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen along with K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler arrested Johnathon Dewayne Canada age 30 of Keavy on Wednesday night November 15, 2023 at approximately 8:13 PM.
The arrest occurred off Clark Road, approximately 8 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to a possible domestic violence complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies conducted an investigation and learned that a male subject there, identified as Johnathon Canada had allegedly assaulted a female subject there by grabbing her neck and squeezing.
Deputies noted that the female victim had redness around her throat/neck.
Johnathon Dewayne Canada was charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
