STOPOVER, KY – Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call on February 04, 2024, at 6:25 p.m. reporting a single vehicle collision had occurred on State Highway 194 E in the Stopover community of Pike County.
A trooper from Post 9 responded and began the investigation.
The initial investigation indicated Billy McFarland, 52 years old of Mouthcard, was operating a 2013 Dodge Ram on State Highway 194 E, when McFarland’s vehicle exited the roadway and went over an embankment. McFarland was pronounced deceased on scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.
Trooper Chase Maynard is investigating the collision and was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel, Phelps Volunteer Fire Department, and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
