LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested Larry Fred Brummett age 47 of Slate Lick Road, London on Monday evening February 19, 2024 at approximately 6:34 PM.
The arrest occurred on North Laurel Rd., approximately 2 miles north of London following a traffic stop conducted on a white GMC Yukon that had no license plate on it.
During the stop, the driver was determined to be under the influence and had an outstanding warrant.
During arrest the driver was found in possession of hypodermic needles and suspected methamphetamine.
Larry Fred Brummett was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense
- No registration plates
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
In addition, this subject was charged on a Knox County bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
