LONDON, KY - The London Police Department (LPD) is reporting that on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at approximately 5:03 AM, Officer Mikey Ashurst arrested Jared W. McQueen, an East Bernstadt, man.
LPD Officers received a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver on I-75. Officer Ashurst was able to locate the vehicle in question and observed that it had a license plate that was bent and couldn't be read.
Officer Ashurst noted that upon making contact with the operator, identified as Jared W. McQueen, age 35 of East Bernstadt, KY, that he appeared under the influence and was acting in an erratic manner.
During the investigation, McQueen admitted under his own free will that he had used methamphetamine.
McQueen was determined to be under the influence and placed under arrest without incident and later lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Jared McQueen was charged with:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence 1st Degree
- License Plate Not Legible
