LONDON, KY - The London Police Department is reporting that on Friday, March 1, 2024 at approximately 11:50 PM, Officer Mikey Ashurst arrested Emilie K. Pilskar, age 33 of Keavy, KY.
While on routine patrol, Officer Ashurst observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on Main Street and then observed it disregard a redlight.
Officer Ashurst conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and upon contact with the operator, Pilskar, detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person.
Officer Ashurst had Pilskar step out of the vehicle to complete Standard Field Sobriety Tests and upon doing so, almost fell due to her level of intoxication.
After completing the tests, Pilskar was determined to be under the influence and placed under arrest without incident and later lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Emilie K. Pilskar was charged with:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence of Alcohol -1st Offense
- Speeding 20 MPH Over the Limit
- Disregarding Traffic Control Device - Traffic Light
- Failure to Wear Seat Belt
