RICHMOND, KY - According to the Kentucky State Police, on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, an inmate walked away from a work detail, while serving time at the Franklin County Regional Jail and was believed to be heading to Richmond, KY.
CAPTURED:
On Friday, April 5, 2024, at approximately 5:26 p.m., while investigating tips from Madison County citizens, regarding Mr. Brandon Rhodus, the Franklin County escapee, deputies with the Madison County Sheriff's Office received credible information on the whereabouts of the suspect within Madison County.
Rhodus was taken into custody and booked into the Madison County Detention Center.
Brandon Rhodus was charged with:
- Escape 2nd Degree
- Resisting Arrest
Deputies involved in the investigation surrounding Rhodus’s whereabouts in Madison County which led to his arrest were: Deputy Begley, Deputy Christian, Deputy Daniels and Deputy Hamilton.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 2, 2024) – The Kentucky State Police, Frankfort Post, is searching for an inmate who walked away from a work detail earlier today, April 2nd.
KSP is searching for Brandon Rhodus, from Richmond, KY., described as a white male, 6’1″ tall, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was believed to be picked up by a white van, heading to Richmond. He was lodged at the Franklin County Regional Jail.
Anyone who may have information about the location of Mr. Rhodus is asked to call their local law enforcement or KSP Post 12 at 502.227.2221.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Trooper Brandon Crabtree.
