Deputies Responding to Trespassing Complaint in Nancy, KY Locate and Arrest One Subject for Drug Trafficking and a 2nd for Possession

SOMERSET, KY - Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest of two men after deputies respond to a trespassing complaint.

Pulaski County 200On Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at around 7:30 pm, Deputy Tyler Pearson responded to an address on Lakeview Dr. in Nancy, KY regarding individuals on the property that were not supposed to be there.

Upon Deputy Pearson’s arrival, he observed two male subjects getting into a white truck and began backing out of the driveway.

Deputy Pearson made contact with the two men prior to them leaving the property. One of the men, Darwyn Lee Roberts, 69 years of age, Somerset, KY, told Deputy Pearson he was at the residence to get the rest of his property.

Deputy Pearson recognized Roberts had dropped a clear plastic jar while speaking with him. The clear plastic jar had what appeared to be a crystal like substance inside similar to Methamphetamine.

Deputy Pearson also located, inside the truck, a glass pipe commonly used in smoking Methamphetamine, and digital scales known to be used in the trafficking of illegal narcotics.

Darwyn Roberts was placed under arrest and charged with:

  • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense-Methamphetamine
  • Drug Paraphernalia-Buy or Possess and Public Intoxication

The other male in the truck, Eric Shane Lawhorn, 45 years of age, Nancy, KY, was asked if he had anything on him that was illegal and advised he did not.

Lawhorn granted Deputy Pearson consent to search him, and during that search Deputy Pearson located a crystal like substance folded into money in Lawhorn’s wallet.

Eric Lawhorn was also placed under arrest and charged with:

  • Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense-Methamphetamine

Both Roberts and Lawhorn were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
