Attorney General Coleman Announces Sexual Abuse Indictment in Webster County, Kentucky

FRANKFORT, KY – Attorney General Russell Coleman announced on Thursday, June 13, 2024 that action by the Attorney General's Special Prosecutions Unit resulted in the indictment of Keith R. Farrell, 69, of Webster County, for the sexual abuse of a minor.

On June 12, 2024, a Webster County Grand Jury indicted Farrell for one count of Sexual Abuse First Degree involving a Minor under the age of 16 (Class D Felony). According to the indictment, Farrell unlawfully subjected the victim to sexual contact by groping her.

The Kentucky State Police investigated the case. Assistant Attorney General Jacob Ford presented the case to the Webster County Grand Jury on behalf of the Commonwealth.

The charges in an indictment are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
