LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Nate Bishop arrested Eric Dalton age 55 of London on Saturday evening June 29, 2024 at approximately 5:25 p.m.
The arrest occurred on Payne Trail approximately 2 miles east of London after Deputy Bishop was dispatched by London–Laurel County 911 Communications Center to a complaint that a small blue colored pickup truck had driven through the fence surrounding Bush Elementary and had continued traveling down Payne Trail.
When Deputy Bishop arrived in the vicinity of the complaint he observed a blue pickup truck in the ditch line past Bush Elementary on Payne Trail and observed the driver with that vehicle.
Deputy Bishop noted detecting the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the driver and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence.
Eric Dalton was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Leaving the scene of an accident
- License to be in possession
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
