SANDY HOOK, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) report that on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, KSP Post 8, Morehead received a call from Elliott County Dispatch for assistance with a single-vehicle collision.
The collision occurred on Kentucky Highway 504.
Through the investigation, investigators determined that Heather McClurg, 36 years of age from Olive Hill was traveling west KY 504 operating a Chevy Tahoe.
Ms. McClurg lost control of her vehicle striking an embankment. After striking the embankment, the vehicle partially overturned on its side.
Heather McClurg was pronounced deceased at the scene by Elliott County Coroner Mark Lewis.
KSP was assisted by Elliott County Coroner’s Office and Elliott County Fire and Rescue. This collision remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police, Morehead.
