MANCHESTER, KY - The City Of Manchester Fire Department reports that: We don’t do this often however our family at Lockard's Creek Fire & Rescue is coordinating a car wash for Braxton Downey’s family. Braxton was involved a serious ATV collision earlier this week involving him and another juvenile which our department responded too.
Braxton and the other juvenile was flown to the University of Kentucky after suffering severe injuries.
As Braxton continues to fight for his life our small town is slowly coming together to help the financial burden that’s been placed on the family due to traveling, medical expenses, food, and hotels.
The Paces Creek Elementary School football team will be participating in a car wash with all proceeds going to the Downey family.
The event will be held on Monday, September 2nd, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Paces Creek Elementary School.
