SOMERSET, KY - According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office a Pulaski County man has been taken into custody by Sheriff's Deputies following an investigation.
The incident began when Deputies received information Christopher Sams, age 44, was living in a residence on Mark Street. Deputies discovered Sams was wanted on Parole Violation warrant.
Deputies went to the Mark Street address to look for Sams. When Deputies arrived at the residence, they observed a male subject run into the residence from outside. Deputies were able to make contact with the property owner, who gave them consent to search the residence.
Once inside of the residence, Deputies located Sams cowering under a bed. Sams refused to come out from under the bed with verbal commands and had to be removed.
While searching Sam’s person, Deputy Noah Wesley located suspected methamphetamine in his pocket.
Christopher Sams was arrested and charged with:
- Resisting Arrest
- Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
- Parole Violation
Sams was transported to and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Deputy Wesley was assisted on the scene by Deputy Dylan West, Sergeant Alex Wesley, Lieutenant Richard Smith and Deputy Grant Bryant.
