KSP Arrest Two Suspects off KY 69 after Armed Robbery and Pursuit

LIVERMORE, KY (October  27, 2024) — Just after 3:30 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 16, Henderson was notified by the McLean County Sheriff’s Office of an armed robbery at the Valero convenience store in Livermore. The manager of the store said there were two suspects and fled on KY 136 towards Ohio County in a Lincoln Town car.

Shortly later, Beaver Dam Police Department observed the Lincoln and attempted to stop the suspects. However, the suspects fled from police on Johnson Road and ran off into a field where they fled on foot towards Rough River.

Kentucky State Police and McLean County Sheriff’s Office utilized canine’s and Ohio County Sheriff’s Office were flying drones in the area.

Later in the search, a trooper patrolling KY 69 in Ohio County observed the two suspects on foot exiting a wooded area and was able to take both into custody.

Taylor J. Rolson, 29 of Manfield IL and Angela Burton, 27 of Mansfield, IL were arrested without incident and transported to the Ohio County Detention Center in Hartford.

Mr. Rolston was charged by Kentucky State Police with the following offenses:

  • Robbery 1st Degree
  • Fleeing/Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
  • Fleeing/Evading Police, 2nd Degree (on foot)
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence
  • Receiving Stolen Property (firearm)
  • Criminal Littering
  • Failure to Wear Seatbelt
  • Wanton Endangerment – 1st Degree
  • Reckless Driving
  • No Insurance
  • Receiving Stolen Property (vehicle)
  • License to be in Possession
  • No Registration
  • No Registration Receipt
  • Criminal Trespassing

Mrs. Burton was charged by Kentucky State Police with the following offenses:

  • Robbery, 1st Degree
  • Fleeing/Evading Police, 1st Degree (vehicle)
  • Fleeing/Evading Police, 2nd Degee (foot)
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offence – (Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Criminal Littering
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence
  • Criminal Trespassing
