MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Friday, November 15, 2024, Deputy Walter Marker was dispatched to a residence on Otter Creek Road in reference to a break-in.
Deputy Marker arrived at the residence and began an investigation. The victim stated that the front door of the residence was busted out and the security light illuminating the front of the property had been shot out.
Before making entry to the residence, Deputy Marker, observed glass from the front door shattered on the front porch as well as numerous windows busted out.
Deputy Marker stated his presence as a Deputy with the Clay County Sheriff's Office and entered the residence. As Deputy Marker walked past the front door he observed an individual later identified as Travis Stanley, age 35, covered up with a blanket and laying on the couch.
The suspect was immediately taken into custody without incident. The remainder of the residence was cleared with no additional findings and the arrested suspect was transported to the Clay County Detention Center.
Travis Stanley was charged with:
- CRIMINAL TRESPASS-1ST DEGREE
- CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, 1ST DEGREE
This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
