LAKE COUNTY, OR - On Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 4:58 a.m., Oregon State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 20, near milepost 80, in Lake County.
The preliminary investigation indicated an eastbound Toyota Avalon, operated by Christopher Allen Stevens (30) of Redmond, crossed the center line for unknown reasons and struck a westbound Dodge Ram 3500 and trailer, operated by Aliaksandr Kuliashevich (42) of Aurora (CO).
The operator of the Toyota (Stevens) was declared deceased at the scene.
The operator of the Dodge (Kuliashevich) was reportedly not injured.
The highway was impacted for approximately eight hours during the on-scene investigation. Roadway conditions are being considered as a primary contributor to the crash.
