Laurel County, Ky. (Sept. 17, 2019) - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Shannon Jones and Deputy Josh Morgan arrested Misty Delynn Coffey age 35 of London early Monday morning September 16, 2019 at approximately 3:45 AM.
The arrest occurred off Hensley Road, approximately 6 miles north of London while Deputy Houston was on routine patrol and observed a green colored Chevrolet Cruze pulling out of a known drug dealers residence and having only one headlight and out-of-state registration.
A traffic stop was conducted and Deputy Houston noted possible signs of impairment on the driver. An investigation was conducted and the driver was determined to be under the influence.
This subject stated she had taken Suboxone earlier.
Misty Delynn Coffey was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence
- Failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance – first offense
- Failure to notify address change to the Department of Transportation
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
