LINCOLN COUNTY, OR - The Oregon State Police is reporting that on Thursday, October 21, 2021, OSP received a call from a hunter who wanted to report an elk carcass he had located while deer hunting on Hancock Forest Management property due East of Yaquina Head.
Oregon State Police Troopers located the carcass in a cleat-cut off a spur road. The cow elk had much of the meat removed. It is believed based on evidence at the scene, that the elk was killed the same day it was called in. The investigation has not identified any persons of interest in this case at this time.
