MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Deputy Sgt. Wes Brumley responded to a call in reference to a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Brumley made contact with the the victim and began an investigation. The victim stated that Courtney Smith had came home intoxicated and started a fight with him and that it had turned physical.
During the investigation Deputy Brumley observed scratches and cuts on the victim's face. The alleged assailant, Courtney Smith, age 27, of Manchester, KY was arrested and transported to the Clay County Detention Center.
Courtney Smith was charged with:
- ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (MINOR INJURY)
This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
