MANCHESTER, KY - Shortly before 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 27, 2025 a vehicle that reportedly had been traveling south very fast after its driver, a male subject was allegedly ordered off a property by the owner, after turning to go northbound, crashed into a tree before overturning into a creek (Curry Branch).
Nearby residents heard the crash and called 911 Dispatch. In a matter of minutes law enforcement and emergency agencies began responding to the collision scene.
The driver had been partially ejected, remained trapped by a crashed white pickup which was resting on its top.
Responding EMS personnel managed extraction of the subject from the vehicle. A bystander identified the injured driver as Wes Turner from the Crawfish area of Clay County. The individual appeared very disoriented and was calling someone "daddy" after the extraction. The patient was transported by Clay County EMS for treatment.
The pickup truck was recovered by Allen's Towing.
