LONDON, KY – Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Taylor McDaniel arrested Andrew Hedrick, age 39 of London on Friday night April 11, 2025 at approximately 10:38 PM.
The arrest occurred in Georgetown, Kentucky off Interstate 75 following an investigation conducted by Laurel County Sheriff's investigators who obtained an arrest warrant for Hedrick based on that investigation.
Sheriff's investigators attempted to locate the suspect who was operating a tractor trailer that had GPS capability. Investigators notified the company who turned the GPS on allowing investigators to track the suspect in an attempt to locate and take the suspect into custody safely.
Laurel County Sheriff John Root tracked the suspect vehicle near Berea southbound on I–75 where he abruptly turned around and headed back northbound away from Laurel County. Investigators continued to track the individual into Scott County on Interstate 75 where a Kentucky State Trooper, Scott County Sheriff's Deputy, and Georgetown Police Department located the suspect vehicle in the vicinity of a business off I–75 and were able to safely take the suspect into custody.
Andrew Hedrick was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant of arrest obtained by Laurel Sheriff's Detective Taylor McDaniel charging: Rape – first-degree – victim under the age of 12, sodomy – first-degree – victim under 12 years of age and sexual abuse – first-degree – victim under 12 years of age.
Allegedly, the victim had been sexually abused for approximately seven years.

Andrew Hedrick was charged with:
- RAPE, 1ST DEGREE - VICTIM <12 YEARS OF AGE
- SODOMY, 1ST DEGREE - VICTIM <12 YRS OF AGE
- SEXUAL ABUSE, 1ST DEGREE, VICTIM U/12 YEARS OF AGE
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
According to JailTracker, Hedrick is being held on a $100,000.00 cash bond with a court date set for Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
