LONDON, KY — Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Carly Dorraugh along with Laurel County Schools Police Chief Dan Smoot arrested Lloyd Allen James Ihde, age 19 of Corbin on Thursday afternoon May 15, 2025 at approximately 3:08 PM.
The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by investigators regarding two (2) female juvenile runaways —16-year-old Alexis Gilbert and 17-year-old Cassidy Longworth who were reported as possible runaways and an investigation conducted into their whereabouts after they allegedly were last seen near Campground Elementary, 7 miles south of London on early Thursday morning May 15th.
Investigators were able to obtain surveillance video showing the two missing juveniles being picked up by a male subject near the school. Investigators were able to positively identify the male subject and located him at work at a business in London. This individual identified, as Lloyd Ihde (left) advised investigators that he transported the girls to Manchester and dropped them off on a road over there.
Laurel County investigators working in conjunction with Clay County Sheriff's office proceeded to the area where the girls were allegedly dropped off and conducted a search but did not immediately locate the missing runaway juvenile girls.
However, Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Carly Dorraugh along with Laurel County Schools Police Chief Dan Smoot continued to investigate to attempt to locate the missing juvenile girls. Both were later found safe in Clay County and returned to Laurel County. No other information was released regarding the location of the juveniles.
As a result of the investigation Lloyd Allen James Ihde, age 19 of Corbin was arrested and transported to the the Laurel County Correctional Center.
