LONDON, KY (Friday, June 6, 2025) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is proud to announce the newest addition to the Laurel County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit: K-9 Interdiction Unit Justin Taylor and his highly trained K-9 partner, Ash.

K-9 Ash, a skilled Dutch Shepherd, brings specialized capabilities to the Sheriff's Office. Ash is fully certified in the detection of various illicit drugs and narcotics, including methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine.
