LONDON, KY — Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jared Hale arrested Judy Gail Coffey, age 48, of London on Friday night June 27, 2025 at approximately 9:57 PM.
The arrest occurred on KY 312 approximately 9 miles west of London following a traffic stop conducted on a maroon Ford Fusion that had been observed weaving across the centerline.
During the stop it was determined that there was no insurance on the vehicle and the driver’s operator’s license had been suspended. An investigation on the driver determined that she was under the influence.
Judy Coffey was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Failure of non-owner operator to to maintain required insurance
- No operator's license
