FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky Century Challenge highlights four of the most popular cycling events in Kentucky – the Redbud Ride, in London; the Horsey Hundred, in Georgetown; the Preservation Pedal, in Winchester; and, new for 2014, the Hub City Tour, in Elizabethtown.
Each ride offers a Century Ride option of 100 miles. In order to complete the Kentucky Century Challenge, riders must complete any three of the four Century Rides. Riders who are successful will qualify for a special edition Kentucky Century Challenge jersey, designed by John Mahorney of JEM Creative.

What’s new in 2014?
The Kentucky Century Challenge announces the addition of the Hub City Tour as the fourth and final leg of the 2014 Century Challenge. Sponsored by the Central Kentucky Wheelmen, of Elizabethtown, the Hub City Tour will showcase some excellent routes in and around Hardin County.
Central Kentucky Wheelmen Racing Team members will be available for assistance during the event. Participants are encouraged to stick around for a post-ride meal, with live music, and enjoy the community that makes south central Kentucky one of the best areas for cycling.
While there is no limit on the number of participants in the Century Challenge, only the first 800 to sign up will be eligible for a free or reduced-cost jersey. Riders completing all four century rides, and who are among the first 800 registrants, will receive their special edition jersey free. Those completing three of the four rides, again among the first 800 registrants, will receive their jerseys for a discounted rate of $30.
Completing the challenge is the only way to get the Century Challenge jersey, as they will not be made available for sale. Those signing up outside of the 800 rider limit will be able to purchase their jersey, if they complete the challenge, at a cost of $45.
Those who qualify for a jersey, and request it be mailed to them, may have it shipped for a cost of $6.
