PINEVILLE, Ky. – The Wilderness Trail Off Road Park in Bell County will host the Bluegrass on the Mountain Horseback Riding and Music Festival on May 17, 2014.
This will be the first horseback riding event held at the Wilderness Trail Off Road Park. While primarily a destination for ATVs and other off road vehicles, the park features plenty of trails for equestrians to explore as well. There will be guided trail rides for horseback riders and wagons, free primitive camping, bluegrass music from local artists, food and a horseshoe competition. There is no cost to attend this event.
The Wilderness Trail Off Road Park is located just off U.S. 119 in Bell County, 7.5 miles from the intersection with U.S. 25 in Pineville. The headquarters for this event will be at the event area, which is approximately 2 miles from the U.S. 119 bridge. There are several ATV events held throughout the year and the park is open year-round with the exception of some hunting seasons. Trail riding, camping and fishing are free to all visitors at the Wilderness Trail Off Road Park. For up-to-date information on trail or park closures, visit www.wildernesstrailoffroadpark.net.
