KSP, Richmond Post, Activity for May 2015

(Richmond, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of May, 2015.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 2,143 citations, which included 96 for speeding, 12 for no child restraint and 222 for no seatbelts. There were 35 people arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Troopers issued 387 courtesy notices, assisted 71 stranded motorists, and investigated 74 traffic collisions while inspecting 2,266 vehicles. Detectives and Troopers also responded to and investigated 1,233 complaints, opened 59 criminal cases, and made 382 criminal arrests.
