Early morning complaint that neighbors hear a woman screaming - LSO deputies dispatched


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Travis Napier and Deputy Shannon Jones arrested Elizabeth Lawson age 30 of Money Rd., East Bernstadt early Tuesday morning September 6, 2016 at approximately 5:02 AM.

The arrest occurred off Slate lick Road, approximately 3 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that neighbors could hear a woman screaming somewhere in that area.

When deputies arrived in the area, they could hear someone screaming for help in the woodline and stating that rattlesnakes were biting her. When they located this subject, they found her crawling in the area and conducted an investigation determining that she was under the influence.

Upon arrest this subject charged at 2 deputies and attempted to kick deputies while being taken into custody. This subject continued to scream the entire time. This subject gave deputies several different incorrect names while being processed.

Elizabeth Lawson was charged with disorderly conduct – second degree; menacing; public intoxication – controlled substances; resisting arrest; and giving officer false name.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
