Carl Tony Short, age 81, of Manchester departed this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at his home. He was born Tuesday, June, 29, 1937.
He was retired for the United States Postal Service, was affiliated with Manchester Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Bettye (Moore) Short; his son: Carl Anthony Short II and his wife Marlene; his granddaughter: Carly Elizabeth Short and these brothers and sisters: Dorsey Short and wife Judy; Shirley Ruth and husband Lanny; Fountain Dearner and wife Libby; and Dianne Gregory and husband Norman and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his mother: Hazel Reid Dearner and his step-father: William Dearner.
Funeral services for Carl Tony Short will be conducted on Friday, June 28 at 2:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. William Hugh Hudson, Bro. Wesley Rominger and Bro. Chris Roberts will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends and loved ones after 1;00 PM on Friday at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
