Marjorie Rice, 95, of Manchester, KY, passed away Thursday, July 25th, at the Advent Health Manchester Hospital.
Marjorie was born in Manchester, KY on February 6, 1924, a daughter of the late Cleo (Marcum) and William Jones. She was a charter member of the Lyttleton Baptist Church.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Rice.
Marjorie is survived by the following children: Roger Rice (Brenda) of Manchester, Dennis Rice (Becky) of Manchester, Roy Rice (Vanda) of Tanyard, Pam Rice (Steve) of Manchester and Brenda Jones Malanga of New Bern, NC.
Also surviving are the following sisters: Elizabeth Carnahan, Lucille Webb, Maude Savage, Mae Sibert, Florence Terhune and Verna Wooton; the following grandchildren: Kevin Rice, Traci White, Katie Cornett, Amy Harris, Keisha Wyatt and Shera Newcomb; 13 great grandchildren and her devoted canine friend, Daisy.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her brothers and sister: R. J. Marcum, Bill Jones and Marian Marcum.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 28th at the Lyttleton Baptist Church in Manchester, KY, with Allen Roberts, Roger Williams, John Boley and John "Boo" Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Rice Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Saturday, July 27th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY.
