George Douglas “Black Sheep” Barnes, age 70 departed this life on Thursday at his daughter’s home. He was born on Thursday, June 16, 1949 in Harlan, Kentucky to Claude Barnes and Helen Jewel Anderson Dupree. He was HVAC Certified and a veteran of the United States Army.
He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter: Gretchen Jewell and her husband Russell, his grandchildren: Alexia LeShay Cotton and Cuchavia Tru Jewell, his great grandchild: Marlee Bre Arnold, his sister: Brenda Ferguson and her husband Walter and his brother: Otis Dupree.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Claude Barnes and Helen Jewel Anderson Dupree, his son: Michael Barnes, his sisters: Claudean Barnes Stigall and Patricia Stigall and his brothers: Samuel Barnes and Milton Dupree.
