Martin Denver McWhorter was born on February 7, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Lloyd Denver and Sylvia Deloris Driggers McWhorter.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd James McWhorter.
He is survived his wife, Angela Johnson McWhorter of Columbus, Ohio, his children, Jeffrey McWhorter and wife, Shannell, of London, Kaitlyn Wallace, and Jordan and Brandon Wagers, all of Columbus, sisters, Vickie Fields and husband, Jack, and Virginia McCowan and husband, Keith, all of London, sister-in-law, Pat McWhorter of East Bernstadt, grandchild, Killian McWhorter, step-grandchildren, Harley, Destiny and Mariah, step-great-grandchild, Jaxson, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
He worked in construction and was a member of Westgate Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio.
Martin Denver McWhorter departed this life at Doctor’s West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday, November 11, 2019, being 58 years, 9 months and 4 days of age.
Funeral services for Martin Denver McWhorter will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Owsley Cemetery in London.
The family of Martin Denver McWhorter will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 1:00 PM Saturday until the funeral hour of 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Bowling Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
