Catherine Smith was born on March 7, 1949, in Manchester, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Arlie and Flora Sizemore Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of True House of Prayer in Somerset.
She is survived by her children, Melinda Turner and husband, Frank, of Corbin, Clifton Smith of London, Raymond Partin and wife, Mary, of Illinois, and James Todd Smith and wife, Benita, of Williamsburg, eight siblings, Charlie, Millard, Willie Ray, Elbert, Clifford and Mahan Smith and Clara Melson and Glenna Crain, seven grandchildren, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by one brother, Clerndon Smith.
Catherine Smith departed this life at St. Joseph – London on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, being 70 years, 9 months and 3 days of age.
Funeral services for Catherine Smith will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the True House of Prayer Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
The family of Catherine Smith will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 11:00 AM Thursday.
