Elsie Inez Melton, age 83 departed this life on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Advent Hospital in Manchester. She was born on Monday, June 10, 1940 in Manchester to Bleve and Geneva (Abney) Metcalf. She was a homemaker and a member of the Morgan Branch Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Aaron Melton; two sons: Dannie Melton and his wife Ernestine and Carl Melton, grandchildren: Kristy Lee Hampton and husband Stephen and Heather Ann Melton; and one great grandchild: Isla Rose Hampton. Also surviving is one sister: Alice Maxine Madden.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Bleve and Geneva Metcalf; brothers and sisters: Arthur Pearl, Darrell Metcalf, Velma Lee Metcalf, Irene Ray, Elois Wagoner, Pauline Hensley, Laura Evelyn Johnson and Joyce Russell and her daughter-in-law: Roseena Melton.
Funeral Services for Elsie Inez Melton will be conducted on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 5:30 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Metcalf be presiding. Burial will follow in the McDaniel Cemetery in the Sexton Creek Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday at 4:30 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
