Obituary for Granville Fields

Granville Fields was born on April 17, 1939 in Grace, KY and departed this life on June 19, 2024 in Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, KY. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and received the Geneva Convention Award and Service Truck badge.

U.S. Flag 200He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Nanny Fields, and brothers Harold Fields, Maraon Fields, Oscar Fields, one sister, Dorthey Fields Lee. 

Granville is survived by a sister, Rella Taylor of Manchester, Ky, and children: James (Jim) A. Fields of Nicholasville, Ky, Lisa D. Ledford and Mike Ledford of Evansville IN, Roy Michael Fields and Kena Fields of Lancaster, KY, Joseph (Joe) B. Fields and Mary Fields of York, PA. 

Granville’s surviving grandchildren are Amanda Young, Nichole Hensley, Jolene Fields, Bentley Fields, Artair Fields, Ora Fields, Archer Fields, Joy Fields, Aaron Fields, Amanda Seizemore, Courtney Bowman, Megan Bowman, and Brittany Bradley. 

He also has 9 surviving great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services for Granville Fields will be conducted on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Travis Fields will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Tanyard Cemetery in the Tanyard Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
