Mrs. Janet Louise Salmons, age 69 of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the CHI Saint Joseph Health in Lexington. Born in Clay County, KY on May 7, 1955 to the late Dave and Zelma Lee Broughton Hubbard.
Janet was a member of the Church of God Worship Center and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jewelldean Burton, and brothers: Tony and Bobby Hubbard.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Rudolph Salmons of Manchester; her children: Julia Ann Collins of Manchester, Steven R. Salmons and wife Jessica of Hazard, Samantha Sowders and husband Jeremy of Corbin; four brothers: Howard Hubbard and wife Lois of Barbourville, Larry Hubbard and wife Ermalene of Girdler, Jimmy Hubbard of Girdler, and Terry Joe Hubbard of Hinkle; two sisters: Deborah Sobieralski of Florida and Marcella Stratton and husband Stan of Tennessee; six grandchildren: Tyler Collins and wife Sarah of Corbin, Aaron Fields of Manchester, Brady and Parker Sowders of Corbin, and Destiny and Matthew Salmons of Hazard; three great-grandchildren: Makiah, Jayda, and Houston Collins all of Corbin; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Janet Salmons will be conducted at Britton Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM, with Reverend Brad Stevens and Reverend Joey Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Britton Funeral Home.
