Oda Hacker, age 82 passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek. She was born on Monday, August 24, 1942 in the Hector Community of Clay County to William Ramsey “Bill” and Vergie Hibbard Hacker. She worked as a nurse for the Manchester Memorial Hospital.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: LaDonna Woods and husband Freddy, Patrick Collins and wife: Kimberly Keizer and Rebecca Collins and husband Eric Sizemore, her grandchildren: Amanda Bretz and husband Ryan, Cody Patrick Collins and wife Kristina, Brittany Mitchell and husband Bobby, William H. Collins, Savannah Shumacher and husband William, Bethany Woods, Stevie Renee Mobley, Daemon Gilley, Keizer Sosebee, Andrew A. Collins, Carrington Sosebee and Addison Quin Sosebee. Also surviving are her great grandchildren: Ryleigh Bretz, Madelyn Bretz, Cassie Bretz, Harper R. Collins, Joda Mitchell, Jaxson Collins, Lily Beth Collins, Vann Shumacher and Michael Shumacher as well as her brother: Glenn “Demon” Hacker and wife Charlene and her sister-in-law: Rosene Hacker and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Oda is preceded in death by her parents: William Ramsey “Bill” and Vergie Hibbard Hacker, her sister: Rena Gabbard and husband Clyde and her brother: Roy “Hickory Nut” Hacker.
Funeral Services for Oda Hacker will be conducted on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Allen Roberts will be presiding. She will be laid to rest in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, January 18, 2025 after 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
