Edd Gilbert, age 85, departed this life on Friday, February 28, 2025. He was born on Friday, March 31, 1939 in Manchester, KY to Reuben and Mallie (Dezarn) Gilbert. He was retired from Brian Keith Coal Company.
He leaves to mourn his passing his sisters and brother: Mary Gilbert Smith, Gladys Harris and husband Teddy and Carl Gilbert; his sister-in-law: Loretta Gilbert and these nieces and nephews: Donnetta Collins and husband Willy, Ricky Harris and wife Patty, Connie Hooker, Ted Harris and wife Tina, Crystal Bowling and husband Steven, Gina Reid and husband Kenny; two special nephews: Patrick Harris and Aidan Forland.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Reuben and Mallie Gilbert; one brother: Don Gilbert; his brother-in-law: Elmer Smith and his nephew: Ray Hooker.
Funeral Services for Edd Gilbert will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 2:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dudley Lynch will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, March 7, 2025 after 12:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers will include Kenny Reid, Aidan Forland, Patrick Harris, Jimmy Edwards, Steven Bowling and Noah Reid.
