Mr. Calvin Bray, age 52 of McKee, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home. He was born December 24, 1960 in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of Raleigh and Mary Byrd Bray.
He was a farmer and a member of the Potter’s House Holiness Church and the Gray Hawk Church of God.
He is survived by his wife: Loretta “Tootie” Bray of McKee, his step-children: Ashley Gilbert and her husband Jerett and Jessica Bray and her boyfriend: Kendall Wimberley, 2 grandchildren who he loved very very much: Kaleigh Gilbert and Elijiah Gilbert, and his father: Raleigh Bray of Burning Springs. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Alvin Bray and his wife Georgia of Burning Springs, Kathleen Lewis and her husband George of Burning Springs, Mae Hill and her husband Eddie of Jackson County, and Melvin Bray and his wife Gracie of Burning Springs.
He is preceded in death by his mother: Mary Bray, his brother: David “Buck” Bray and his sisters: Geraldine Horton and Myrtus Horton.
Funeral Services for Mr. Calvin Bray will be conducted on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 2 PM at the Potter’s House Holiness Church. Rev. George Roberts and Rev. Jay Purkey will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Bray Cemetery in the Bray Creek Community.
Visitation will be Monday, March 4, after 6 PM at the Potter’s House Holiness Church.
