Mr. Rodney B. Sizemore, age 71 of Manchester, departed this life on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky.
He was born on Saturday, August 29, 1942 in Martin, Kentucky to the union of Thomas and Kathryn Lewis Sizemore. He was an Admin at the Clay County Detention Center, a veteran of Vietnam as a navigator where he served as a Captain in the Air Force.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife: Clara Jarvis Sizemore, his children: Dr. Michelle Sizemore and her husband Dr. Luke Moe, Jennifer Stewart and her husband Eddie, and Victor Sizemore and his wife Rachael. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Asa, Elijah, Evie, Sammy and Connor, and his sisters: Glenda Graff and her husband Dr. Michael Graff and Kathy Johnson and her husband Stuart.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Kathryn Sizmore.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Clay County Cancer Coalition or the Lexington Humane Society.
Funeral Services for Mr. Rodney B. Sizemore will be conducted on Saturday, October 12 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Herbert “Tip” Minton and Linda Smallwood will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Jarvis – Goins Cemetery in the Horse Creek Community.
Visitation will be on Saturday, after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
